Bleach* The Gold Coast Festival - Producers

Bleach are looking for three dynamic, ‘can do’ Producers to join our team on the Gold Coast who are:

  • experienced and have the ability to deliver multiple, complex projects simultaneously

  • creative and solutions oriented who think outside the box and are able to turn visions into reality

  • strong  communicators, able to liaise with a range of stakeholders from local residents and businesses to artists, crew and suppliers

  • details focused – able to plan, monitor and evaluate all aspects of project delivery from budget through to production and presentation

  • A team player, comfortable in taking direction from others and leading when required.

Some additional information

  • You will need to be flexible, as this role will involve working outside the normal office hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • You will be required to apply for, or present your current Blue Card through the Commission for Children and Young People.

  • A current driver’s License is desirable

  • The office is located in the Gold Coast.

  • Able to use a computer and a range of software

Bleach* is the Gold Coast Festival, taking place annually across the City in August. The program is one of Australia’s leading and most exciting site-specific contemporary arts programs.

Utilising the Gold Coast’s world-famous natural landscape as unconventional venues, Bleach* aims to deliver incredible arts and cultural experiences that challenge expectations, change perceptions and provide a unique and authentic sense of place, inspiring both locals and visitors alike.

About the Role(s)

Bleach* The Gold Coast Festival is seeking to employ 3 Producers on short-term contracts –

Producer – Contemporary Performance and New Work

  • At least 3-year’s demonstrated experience producing new work across different artforms. Demonstrated experience working with visual artists and producing new work desirable but not essential

Producer – Engagement

  • At least 3-years demonstrated experience of producing work made in collaboration with diverse social and cultural communities.

Producer – Music

  • At least 3-years demonstrated experience producing contemporary music in a festival context

The Producers will support the Lead Producer and Artistic Director to produce exceptional programs for Bleach* The Gold Coast Festival 2020,at the highest professional standards. Based on the Gold Coast, the roles will report directly to the Lead Producer and work closely and collaboratively with a small team.

The role will see you exercise your exceptional communication skills as you work with a range of stakeholders, partners and companies.You will bring your arts experience, networks and knowledge into programming discussions for the Festival. The role is perfect for someone who is ambitious, energetic and wants to contribute to the success of a major international cultural festival.
