Darebin Arts Speakeasy - Development Program
Development applications are now open for new performance based works.
The Darebin Arts Speakeasy Development program supports artists by providing access to resources to develop new artistic material.
Artists are given a stipend of $1,000 – $2,000 and the opportunity to develop new works. Access to our spaces can be negotiated when venues re-open after the closures incurred by COVID-19, and will be subject to availability. Stipend amounts will be assessed according to the number of artists involved in the project. Creative developments are eligible across artistic disciplines. Darebin is not expecting online outcomes but is happy to support projects being developed through online platforms.
Darebin expects that are personnel involved in the project follow physical distancing protocols set by the Victorian government.
Successful projects will receive 1-2 weeks free theatre space if desired. Creative Development dates will be negotiated when venues re-open after the closures incurred by COVID-19.
