The Role:

Auspicious Arts Projects is looking for a Client Manager to support independent artists, groups, and local councils in delivering their creative projects. 

This role involves end-to-end project support — from initial budgeting to project completion and acquittals — ensuring that all administrative and financial aspects are managed efficiently. 

The Client Manager acts as a key liaison between artists, funding bodies, and partner organisations, contributing to the smooth delivery of arts projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice on funding applications and project delivery

  • Budget management

  • Contract management including reading funding agreements and issue artist agreements

  • Advising on insurance and workcover coverage, and managing claims as they arise

  • Accounts receivable and payable

  • Preparation of financial reports, including acquittal documentation and audits

Key Selection Criteria: (Please address all the selection criteria)

Essential

  • Experience working within a not-for-profit arts or cultural organisation

  • Financial administration and management of project budgets

  • Knowledge of funding bodies, available grants and application timelines

  • Solid level of competency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong communication (including written) and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and time management skills

Highly Desirable

  • Some experience with databases and accounting software

  • Some experience in HR systems, e.g. Contracts, Workcover, Superannuation, Payroll Systems

  • Project management

Role Details:

  • Position: Client Manager

  • Contract Dates: Ongoing

  • Probationary period: 3 months

  • Location: Collingwood Yards, B3/35 Johnston St, Collingwood

  • Time Commitment: Part-time (3 to 4 days per week - 0.6 to 0.8 FTE negotiable)

  • Salary: $78,960 per annum pro-rata, plus 12% Superannuation

  • Interviews: It is anticipated that interviews will take place Thursday 9 and/or Friday 10 October

Additional Information:

  • We work a 9-day fortnight 

  • Our business hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm

  • Hybrid working available, with a mix of home and office-based hours

  • Salaries are reviewed annually

  • Some additional paid hours may be required at times; any hours worked over 38 hours per week will be treated and paid as overtime.
