The Role:
Auspicious Arts Projects is seeking an Accounts Payable/Administration Assistant to join our team. You will work under the guidance of our Client Managers and Systems Manager, who support independent artists in managing the administrative and financial aspects of their creative projects.
The primary focus of this role is to support the day-to-day operations of our organisation through data entry, file management, and general administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process outgoing payments and contractor superannuation contributions
Maintain and organise employee and contractor agreements
Set up new employees and contractors in accounting systems
Assist with general file management and documentation
Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the team as required.
Key Selection Criteria: (Please address all the selection criteria)
Strong proficiency in databases and spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Comfortable using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and digital signing software
High attention to detail with excellent time management skills
Previous experience in a not-for-profit arts or cultural organisation is preferred
Basic knowledge or experience with accounting software.
Role Details:
Position: Accounts Payable/Administration Assistant
Contract Dates: 1 year fixed term with an option to extend
Probationary period: 3 months
Location: Collingwood Yards, B3/35 Johnston St, Collingwood
Time Commitment: Part-time (3 to 4 days per week – negotiable)
Salary: $68,972 per annum pro-rata, plus 12% Superannuation

Additional Information:
Our business hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm
Hybrid working available, with a mix of home and office-based hours
Salaries are reviewed annually
Some additional paid hours may be required at times; any hours worked over 38 hours per week will be treated and paid as overtime.
