Planning phase
Many artists begin to work with Auspicious in the planning stages of
their project. In most cases, though not exclusively, this means
preparing funding applications for government and/or philanthropic
organisations. We check budgets and make sure that all costs are
accurate and accounted for. We help you to understand and plan for the
financial risks associated with the project. Whilst Auspicious does not
write the application on your behalf, we can help customise individual
submissions in line with specialised funding requirements. We make no
judgement about the artistic content of the project itself. Our aim is
to assist you in ensuring that the project is as economically feasible
as possible.
We provide this service free of charge.
Funding approval
Once funding is approved we assess total income, re-budget accordingly
and ensure that all risk issues are taken into consideration. An
agreement will then be set up between yourself and Auspicious.
The production proceeds
Every project and every artist is different so Auspicious starts by
working out how much or how little financial management is required. We
can provide assistance with the day-to-day financial aspects of the
project, including monitoring income and expenditure, and providing
regular financial updates. We usually look after payments, invoicing,
payroll, superannuation, Workcover claims, GST/tax compliance, and
banking on your behalf. We can also provide cash flow support
throughout the project.
All arts projects managed by Auspicious are automatically covered for
$20 million dollars in public liability insurance. When Auspicious
projects tour overseas personnel are covered by our travel insurance.
Project concludes
At the project’s conclusion we prepare financial acquittal reports for funding bodies and arrange for an audit if required.
Conspire about future projects
After your project has finished we want you to continue working
with Auspicious. We regularly foster collaborations between Auspicious
artists, creating ongoing partnerships and exciting new projects.
